why not post a poem you wrote that was inspired by a fellowLitNet poem or simply themselves here.
inspiration comes from without to within.
    look forward to reading

note to the mods: this was meant for the Contest Poetry Forum. If it could be moved that would be greatly. thanks!

Cacian, you are full of excellent ideas! I support this one. Here is my poem about 'someone' from here.

    You write nicely
    But, oh, dear!
I don't know how do you look
    How do you cook.

Your smiles are all over the poems
    And stories you kindly write
Offering the reading pleasures to everyone here
    But, oh, dear!

I don't know do you have teeth
    Underneath.

    Nevertheless,
    I am always looking forward
    To meet you around
    Safe and sound.

I was walking along and me head fell off
    It made I cough
    And cough
    And cough
    Me phlegm was pink
When it waltzed down the sink.

    Jack.

    Cacian.

    Fluff went puff
    To settle
    Petal
    Ignoring swam
    Once after
    Marmalade.

    Biggus.

    Roses are reddish
    Violets are blueish
    If I didn't know better
    I`d swear you were Jewish.

    Hillwalker.

    I left for good reason.

    Am I still alive?
    God.
    There's a subject and a half.

    Jack

    Too slow. Deleted.

    Auntie.

    You are too good
    To attempt.

    Delta.

    This is a metaphor
    Within a metaphor
    Wrapped up in a metaphor
    That is so metaphoric
It is yet to look at itself and think
    "Strewth, I'm a metaphor".

    Me.

    F uck
    F uck
    ****.

    Haunted.

My heart is in a ringer
    And you dialed
    911
    As you left.

    For those who believe,
    no explanation is necessary.
    For those who do not,
    none will suffice.

I wanted to give this a try. It's not much good but hopefully still enjoyable:

    I like his writing style.
Have done so for a while.
    His short, well-flowing poetry,
    His rhyme, metre, and symmetry.
    It's catchy and it's memorable,
    The metre is untouchable.
    It makes me feel immersed
    into YesNo and his verse.

    Have you ever noticed
    that, ironically,
    the superlative version
    “shortest”
    is longer
    than shorter?
    In turn, short
    is shorter
    than shorter.
    Reminds me of
    Cacian’s writing:
    new lines emerging
    all over the place
    short lines that flow
    break off, yet unite.

And here an unfortunately very short one because I could not come up with an ironic, longer poem:

    Melanie
    equals
    imagery

Without any form of punctuation, our language would not say "I'm perfect"; it would say "imperfect".

"Access to works of art cannot be defined solely in terms of physical accessibility, since works of art exist only for those who have the means of understanding them."

    your name inspires
    me
    it brings a new
    agenda everyday
it is a joy to say
    so keep on telling
    to your poetry
    a stunning
    it may never try
but when it does it sigh
    it is just that
    good
    it fly
