    What remains in life?

    What remains in life?

    Poem written by

    Mohammad Ahmad

Iraq is the symbol of honour.

Many years ago, I have claimed the victor
Nothing had I taste but only the bitter.
Your naked blossom appears as a shadowy olive tree.
I wish I got rest at thy shadow and drank a cup of tea.
Didn’t you tell me to look to the flying bird?
Didn’t you see the falcon and you were scared?
Then we sat over a hill watching the beautiful verdure.
Many times, we had chatted about our future.
Nothing remains but only the remembrances.
My heart sleeps and forgets its fragrances.
Each time I wash my face I see you as a mirror.
No dream remains but only the horror
A dried tree never becomes green.
Unless the heavy rain of March comes again.
Our days are as if a summery cloud.
It hasn't rain even it comes closely around.
Let the bygone go bygone and start a new life.
The mysterious occasion maybe ends on relief.

In relief = bad sense, on relief = happy moment.

Dreamy night at desert - blank verses

    Dreamy night at desert

    Blank verses written by

    Mohammad Mahmud Ahmad

    25 December 2012

O, pigeon let me smart on my pain
Many desires call me to move away….
Thirteen days I suffer melancholy moments
And your lantern fuels bad to me….
    ********
Awakes me at dawn as severe volcano
Hurts my head even my abdomen becomes large
Snapping of dirty claws pinch my chest until turns malady.
When I listen to bad news comes from Amman.
I wait, but how can I wait that abstained dreamy autumn
Severe dots of severe passion hurl into my chest deep.
They come as if swooping down falcon runs suddenly.
My desert is grieved even its water becomes shallow.
What can I do with those ill-tempered men?
Neighs of swift horse crossed with me in deferent way.
A nightingale chants on the next side of the valley
Then I draw my weapon to kill my enemy
Suddenly and quickly, he ran away.
The sky seems red and the time is last afternoon…
Here and there, I pick the rein of my horse
The grass is over the knee tall giving rise…
I settled while the place is covered with dew…
    Taking nap, my horse neighs….
    I woke up and I saw a bird…
A girl in nineteen of age comes there…
She is my sister who was married from tow years ago…
She called the time is winter and I do fearsome…
And you must come bake to be our gust
I played with her child who is four weeks old….
I loved him too much and giving him present….
He is pale cheek still I remember
His mother swears unless I spend my night there…
Like the nightingale when he smiles tenderly in front of me….
They entitle to him my name from that day…
Still he alive and calls me Um….

The hen that adopts ostrich's nestling-poem for children

The hen that adopts ostrich's nestling

    Written by

    Mohammad Mahmud Ahmad

The rooster sees a large egg one day
It has two colours white and gray.
He steals it from a poor bird's nest.
When he comes back from another way

    * * * *

The rooster asks the sparrow, is it yours?
The sparrow astonishes and flees away.
Staggering, cursing the occasion of that day
Feels his tongue is incapable to reply

    * * * *

The rooster asks the pigeon; is it yours?
The pigeon runs away as if startling horse
    Bewildering, what can he say?
And never has been seen from that day.

    * * * *
The rooster asks the stork is it yours?
The stork appears calm and wise.
Closing his peak and sending sever voice
Carelessly says I think it is for tortoise.

    * * * *
The rooster intends toward the lake to ask.
He meets one duck wearing its mask.
Where is the Mrs. Tortoise pleased dear?
The duck shakes his head feeling it is difficult task

    * * * *

The rooster finds himself in a terrible doom
Missing his way and cannot return home.
The duck leads him to the wrong way.
Leaving the poor rooster alone and entering his room.

    * * * *

The rooster was desirous to find the egg's owner.
But unfortunately he was dispersed moreover
While wandering he saw a large crowd of people.
Inside a large house, he met a small daughter

    * * * *

Do you Miss. Are you the owner of this egg?
The girl rushing away shaking her neck
Thinking it belongs to an elephant or a rhinoceros
And she kicks him on its back by her small leg.

    * * * *

The peacock comes there and blunders.
He claims that it belongs for a certain dog, called maxfoker
The rooster is afraid to ask the dog and hurries inside the jungles
The dog follows him howling and calls his friends sooner

    * * * * *

The rooster runs away and unfortunately falls on a garden of bear.
Fortunately, the bear was sleeping in his lair
The rooster breaks the egg later.
He finds it contains small nestling of ostrich larger than pear.

    * * * *

The rooster becomes the father of the small nestling.
And he makes for its sake a large wedding
But when the nestling grows up and becomes mature.
The rooster is astonishing from its large size and is frightening.

    * * * *

Soon he calls the hens for an assembly.
Ordering them to be present there and riding on the ferry
One of them suggests leaving the bird in the public garden.
Others claim to sell him in the market immediately.

    * * * *

But an old hen requests to extend the occasion.
Perhaps they can find the suitable solution.
Gathering her sons and asking them to be friends.
Lastly, she finds it is reliable decision

    * * * *

The strange bird slept the night with the hen's sons.
He spends the time with them joyfully plays and runs
Until one day, his bereaved mother comes there.
Thanking the hen for her good deed and asking the departure at once.

    * * * *
The mature ostrich's nestling is happy to see his mother
Kissing her from her head and asks her about his brother
Before he departs, he says farewell to the hen's chickens.
Still he deems that the rooster is his father.

    Deeply in the sky

    Deeply in the sky

    Poem written by

    Mohammad Ahmad

    17 January 2013

Deeply in the sky, let my thoughts dive anywhere
Harsh movement suddenly tosses me my dear.
What is about their behavior turns madly this year?
O, it is useless to wait sunny day coming again.
Their cameleers were gone away to unknown desert.
Alas, my dream is just mirage roosting over my passionate soul.
    To whom do we call?
Is it mere false dreams entrapping our eyes?
How do we deal with universe stopping against our desire?
No rain, no verdant grasses, no calm attire.
It is awfully to say that dead conscience becomes truth.
Enclosing our destiny, it turns as a deaf nonsense faith.
Tyrants haven’t alert hearts, as dull beasts they seek.
Can you tell me which auspicious day in their week?
Democracy has many names as we read at Koran.
The first one is to respect others rights as well you can.
The next one is not to steal the public property.
The third one is to help poor people and to be chartable.
Neither truthful man is between them nor honorable.
Neither well- doer is between them nor reliable.
Neither scientist is between them nor admirable.
Ignorant foolish politics always are ignorable.
They ignored people rights and buried their dreams.
Hell is to them, they are just beasts eating weed.
They are just thieves who stole nation's bread.
What can I say my dad the matter needs careful heed?

    Let people determine their dream

    Let people determine their dream

Verses written by the Iraqi translator

    Mohammad Mahmud Ahmad

Earth would complain and close its window.
Sever obstacles denote to harm future from now…
What can we do if politics turn mad?
Alas! Our fate nowadays turns on evils hand…
Sever cautions of sever melancholy dreams…
A child beseeches Allah in crying terms…
O, meadow let me taking a nap for a while…
Corpses of our grandfathers inside tombs revile…
Let gusty wind hits politics homes upside down…
Tyrants control now at each land and town …
They shut off their lanterns and close their curtains…
Besides their peoples suffer poverty and sever pains.
Which kindness still poor people need?
By chemical gazes, they put their end.
What is about world conscience still sleep?
Does conscience turn just a junk of heap?
Alas, this destiny is only to Arabs indeed.
It comes as stormy flood attacks alive and dead.
It comes as if ghoul excluding no build or attire …
What do we say if unjust rulers restrain our desire?
Let our ancestors awake and see this awfully bloodshed.
Let them see people were killed for a loaf of bread…
O, dark night: why do not you go away?
In this darkness how can children play?
Let time stops its hands and spreads violent storm …
Autumn and winter yet carry the same gloom.
What can we do if those tyrants sill awake?
Is not there an ax to cut their necks?
A red rose perhaps asks for spring when days sleep…
Birds otherwise look for a branch turning weep …
Thousands Syrians cannot find safe shelter…
Iraqi people demonstrate nakedly deeply anger…
They ask for honour rights in democracy manner.
Syrians cannot find place to sleep or even simple shed.
A child asks his mother; isn't there any piece of bread!
Democracy and freedoms are just false name…
Satanic names full with hate and blind shame!
World conscience from outrage will burst…
O, East and West: where are your hearts?
O, wolf can you tell me why you howl at night!
Aren’t you slept without banquet tonight?
Break the dawn and you can see the sunbeam…
Darkness never would shame if you blame…
Ask sun and its neighboring stars what they recommend…
Does fate kill someone without approaching end?
Henceforth let people determine their dream.
Why do they fear from this transient politics team?

    Fever....Fever...Fever...

Winter comes and it can calm the fever

    Long poem written by

    Mohammad Mahmud Ahmad

    Iraq- Mosul

    Fever… Fever… Fever…
    Who can endure the fever?
    What damage causes the fever?
    Headache… backache…sever body pains….
Two weeks ago or more, I suffer…
Griefs fill my faded eyes at gloomy moments…
Felt as if I was put on unfathomable valley…
My emotions, my deep sorrow grieved me…
What can I complain more than this fever?
I feel as if my legs were cutting off severely…
My thought was confused perplexing totally.
Horses, trains, lions chased me dreadfully
Wrapping my head, I felt unhealthy…
How does fever damage the cells of the body?
I did not know! Yet I do not know!
    How does fever become awfully?
Tortured man is waiting the moon to shine…
He dreams to find a bit of rest as if he drinks much wine.
Missing his verses, he recurs to a new line.
Even he sees the streets were vacant from people.
Phantoms walk instead of them mocking the time.
    Fever… Fever…Fever…
    Still we had sever fever
Still we long to consume the fever…
Still we are long to see our future…
Still the happy moment tickles the eyes of feverish child…
Still the fever is our blessing donor…
What can we do if we are fevered?
Is fever one type of donation?
Still we are yearning to have fever…
Shiny door never would be opened…
Closed fevered door needs to be eradicated…
Hidden fervid conscience needs to be erupted
    ********
Going away sails depart the harbour…
    Universal time missed our area
We are strayed between dark latitudes…
It was crossed with sharpened longitudes…
    Fever… Fever… Fever…
Still we are startling from the fever…
Still we live in delusion forgetting our pains…
Still we don’t dare to mention our names through societies.
Still we endure the burning fever…
    Fever… Fever…Fever…
    Even our lands were fevered…
    Boiling rains hit its surface…
They dewed a new blossom growing on fever…
Shelling bombs destroyed the boasted naked eyes
An eye of a child is dreaming to find joyful moment…
On balconies, looks to the landscapes wishfully…
He watches the sunset for setting up a new dawn…
Do we look to impossible desire?
    Fever waits our desire…
I think we are eager to have fever…
Shallow water, thirsty we complain the fever…
    Fever…Fever… Fever…
    Still we have fever…
Still we are eager to be fevered…
    What is fever?
Is it only increasing on temperature?
Is it just headache and abdomen pain?
Is it grief of sad doom concealed under our souls?
Is it the death itself we suffer?
What doctors advise to get rid from fever?
Nothing they have to advise because themselves they suffer.
Even they had knowledge but they still stay at corner.
Even if we had many sources of water,
Still we have complained the fever.
    Even we have knowledge,
Still we are disabled to answer…
    Combating toward the hale bodies,
Aimless we spend the time as if spilled water.
    Fever…Fever…Fever
    Ailing bodies still suffer
Exhausted men were toiling inside blazing shower.
Raindrop rarely could quench fervid man.
Rarely could it receive its generous honour…
What can we do against fever?
Faint stars as if they were roaming at vicious circle.
Clouds wrapped the universe hardly become fragile.
Thick dense fog stops as barrier…
Desirously we decide to go ahead despite of venture.
We go ahead despite of cautions, despite of fever…
    Fever… Fever…Fever…
There are many types of fever…
The least degree has pain as if beatings of hammer
Ill men washed themselves on a sacred river…
They wish to be cured, but still they have fever…
Damn is to whom opposes thy ambitious soul Mohammad…
Hell is to whom causes you suffering fever…
What is denial soul they had?
What is vicious soul they had?
What is malicious refusal nature they had?
O, what pretty soul you are!
Despite of your fever you nurse the other.
Despite of many obstacles they put, you look strong forever.
Despite of the griefs and sadness, you eat your dinner…
Despite of pains you look better…
Hell is to whom opposes ambitious soul…
Damn is to whom neglects the rights of toiling man…
Thousand curses are to whom steals others' bread…
Thousand curses are to those live upon others pain…
What is mercy type can we donate to be saved from fever?
Is it the illness is similar to fever?
Is it the hunger is one type of fever?
O, Mohammad you knew well that you are banished.
O, Mohammad you know well that you are ill- treated.
O, Mohammad you know well that you are abused.
O, Mohammad you know well that you are tortured.
O, Mohammad! Who can precede thee in knowledge?
No matter, no one can satisfy the entire world.
No matter, we have satisfaction on our souls forward.
No matter, they send women abroad to gain doctorate.
They stand against other to have the fewer certificate.
On which dirt malady sense had they claimed?
To which sick conscience had we blamed?
No matter, they had thirty thousand false certificates on Iraq…
They said, themselves they said, I didn’t deliver from my bag.
Is it justice to give someone illegally the favours of others?
Is it just that someone lives on the expense of others?
To whom he deserved, they shun their faces awfully.
To whom they know they open their chests warmly.
What is democracy it is when you shun to toiling one?
And his right is obvious like the obvious sun.
What is democracy when people rights are lost?
Let it to be tossed away as if the bloodshed.
Let it to be tossed as if the merciless angry flood.
    What had we lost?
Our griefs can flame our souls to the last life.
Even if it rests, again it can burn after relief.
    ********
Let the griefs snatching me obviously…
Never have I surrendered to those lazy
Never like idol have I idled the time wastefully…
Yet many other unobstructed ways are shiny…
    Yet the sun shines everyday
Yet fever can be cured by our rhythmical poetry…
Yet we look to the forest containing verdant flower…
Even if summer days had much heat, but followed by winter.
    Fever…Fever…Fever…
Winter comes and it can reduce the fever…

    Gulf's bats

    Gulf's bats

(To those do not respect Iraqis)

    Poem written and translated by

    Mohammad Mahmud Ahmad

    As an owl, he hoots.
    As a crow, he caws.
He searches about his way through dark.
Tough- minded walks disclosing his teeth
You got marriage with foxes and white cats.
From Sandra you wear pajama and long coats
Thy rings is made from patched salt
For a long time you are naked and barefoot
Now you own palaces are made from air.
Previously you are just salukis searching for food.
Their food is carob sunned with summer sun.
You propagate as if a foundling child.
It comes to me as if devilsh nigtmare
    You whisper as if sheep
You gamble silently behind the scenes
You inherit your grandfathers' pastures for strange.
    O, you bargain against Iraq
O, you wear the gown of hypocrisy
    Now, mill grinds thee
As dry stalks, it crushed thee
In darkness, you are if flying bat.
    Sky sparkles with lightning
Your face turns yellowish as if dead.
Hours pass forward still the mill rotates.
And boats lose the myth of lights.
Stars vanish as if melted kindles.
They moan all nights as if captive
    And the sail was lost
As soon as the invader shouted,
You follow him as if slaves
Men and women bow your necks
You are frightened as if lambs
Country of stars will not go down
Perhaps its shining day is near
    Perhaps thunders shake its sky
Neither rising shall remain nor sitting.
The country of glory its peaks have colour of spring.
Country, they glory is glimmering as if frost
    Because we are civilization,
    We look as if spring
    Because we are Mesopotamia,
    We flourish as if spring
We are the civilization of million years,
We inherited the civilization of old years
We are the glory drawing its picture inside jasmine.
We are the song echoing across gulf
We are integral part of texture.
From all theses reasons you resent
Country its branches turn verdant every year.
It stands upon its feet to dress its wound
Sun of July will shine again
    Then hillocks will dream again
Boys will laugh and roses will smile
Wind divides for two dichotomies among mounds
Then the valley will be pleasant with breeze
The weak one will rise from his cocoon.
    Cries loudly, he says:
    I am the sail
I am the heat of spring.

One of the Andalusian Terza Rima translated by me

    Andalusian Terza Rima

The poem belonged to a poet from the Andlusian period, I translated the poem from Arabic to English, I am quietly acquainted that this poem is not translated as a free translation, but as I heard that it was sold in the European bookshops , one of them said to me your translation is better than those...
I didn't produce the Arabic origin because I know no one here is understanding the Arabic language.

    What is terza rima?

It is a poem when it is consisting from tercets, or three-line stanzas, and each stanza has itself compatible rhyme scheme differs from other stanzas.
Generally rhyme scheme of whole stanzas is:
    (aba, bcb, cdc, …., yzy)

Rain would quench Andalusia until saturation.
Across time, Andalusia looked prosperous location.
Thy reunion was extraordinary thing seemed unattainable.
Only at sleeping or through stolen glance it can be seeable.
    ******
Time carries its different wishes toward thee willingly.
Its paintbrush draws its pictures delicately.
Groups hurry between one and two competing at race …
Alike invited hajjes intended pilgrim of Holey place.
While the rain makes the meadows refreshed and shiny.
Hence, the roses' visages look smiling apparently.
    ******
*Anemones would relate its story optimistically at faith.
As well as someone called (Anas) who related Hadith.
Beauty covered meadows with marked attire.
In its new dress, it gains its complete desire.
Nights concealed the secret of delicate passion.
If not shiny suns, secret would be endless hidden.

The cub's star had inclined faithfully at rejoicing.
Going on straight way, it carries auspicious ending.
A desire we had dreamed at a certain dreamy night.
Has not guilt, but passed as a glancing sight.

    *****

When we had the sociable time at that sweet night,
Dawn attacked us as guards removing our delight.
It maybe meteors were intruded through our joy.
Or it maybe we were affected by narcissus eye.
    *******
No pure soul would blame the delighted meadow
No doubt, it would be affected between so and so.
Flowers would attract strongly any wanderer's occasion.
Thoughtfully believed it was saved from any caution.
Since water tickles pebbles with its current attractively.
Hence, it is the better time for lovers' to spend time lonely.
    ******
From any annoyance, roses would be turned zealous.
Flaming up with rage, they would be furious.
Otherwise, you can see the myrtle wearing totally wisdom.
It can eavesdrop like mare's ear or nearby its maximum.
    *******
O, dwellers although you were inhabited the obsolete valley
My heart is thy permanent place formerly and latterly.
Wide space cannot endure my aching passion toward thee.
If you were close to me, I didn’t care whatever it was be.
Give to me back the vow of previous passion dress.
Perhaps you can save thy lover from his distress.
    ********
Fear thy God and revive one's passionate beloved.
His soul has inclined breath after breath downward.
In his soul, he entrapped thy love at generous manner.
Do you satisfy he remains for endless prisoner?
    *******
There is approximate point about thee on his heart.
Dreamful he waited, although he was very distant.
Moon emerges from the remote west margin of the sky.
Red paint of twilight covers it but it is encircled with joy.
    ******
One's magic eye paced nearer to me as if wraith.
He enters my chest deeply instead of my breath.
He targeted his arrow toward me straightly.
My heart turns shattered and torn away ultimately.

    Journey to unknown

    Journey to unknown

    Poem written by

    Mohammad Ahmad

    Iraq – Mosul

Rugged ground and our horses have aching feet
Rainy clouds and heron bird leaves its nest
Heavy rain and our friends cannot tent
We interred a cave to escape from wet
A trip to unknown we had into serious fate
Our horses were fatigued and our breads became wet.
We put our saddles nearby adjacent closed canal
Someone had dug it before several years
Our condition is bad while we wait incoming news
Soldiers hid their tanks between the high trees
What can we do while the half-moon is disappeared yet?
No one could be blamed and the scene is unfortunate
Men twist their mustaches smiling at calm wait
Our gunpowder yet is not well done and we had to move
Flickering light comes from the valley under our feet
Someone lose his cows and coming to ask
We send to him helper while the night is dark
Our coffee is prepared and we talk into mess
The herder shot three alarming shots
As soon as we hear the sound, we come near
The attacking lion jumped over the river and went
Futile aim and we cannot sleep
The dawn comes out still we don’t sleep
Our emotion was conscientious and had to leap
Our sparkling fire extinguished and we threw it deep
Zero aim of zero obstacles defeats us for slowing keep
Ringing bell of my wristwatch alarms me that it is ten
And we must draw back pace after pace to milestone.
Sky is too cloud and the way is dark
Sudden move we heard as if roaring of a wild cat
We keep silent while some of our men shot
Long way between many highlands we must tread
Meanwhile other men claim not to proceed the way
It is the frank attempt compels us to be alert
However, we run still our way is remote
Sixty miles and we should have rest.
Awhile and for a while, we missed the way
Returned for left and we saw swarm of diving birds
We know that our sandglass is wrong
We return silent and dread cursing our day
Unknown journey and the night comes again
Stretched out its wing and we got fatigue then
Our time is desert and the way is unknown
Our time is driven oar and the sea is deep
Night came again and our journey could halt
Harmonic bell sound is echoing to our ears
Don’t surrender to despair even if darkness
Yet we claim the vector others were dead
Hundred cemeteries were built in our orchard
Their coffin is the wet leaves of cypress trees
Against of our river hundred gallows were built there
Crushing wheat turn black while clouds rain
Our milestone stopped but only to crush stones
Mile after mile we drive yet the way is remote
Spider camped over our dreams and we go to unknown
Mile after mile we return to the first step
Mile after mile we return to the first step

    FOXES GENERAL ASSEMBLY

    Poem is written by

    MMA

One day the foxes announced for public assembly.
They called all animals' attorneys to be ready
The sheikh of foxes claims that he has the right
And he made his opinion to challenge and fight
All wives must be divorced because they lack tendency
And from now this matter must be undertaken seriously
One spouse came toward him running and angrily
She slaps him in front of all attendants overtly
Saying to him: you are the worst sheikh we saw yet.
It is not worthwhile to be the sheikh that we wait.
You are the dissolute spender who wastes our money
And you must be punished and take sever penalty.
They installed gallows after summoned him to the court.
Judge displayed a big book to look briefly for the case
Turtle, spider, and beetle were chosen as eyewitnesses
However, no one of them can interrupt the jury verdict.
Three magistracies into his swear having really doubt.
They know that he is cunning, don’t confess his fault.
One of them shouted that it is unfamiliar tort
We must put his hands into tough handcuff for a week.
Then we shall teach him how to speak
They fetched the donkey as an additional witness.
The donkey said; I am admired why you do this hurly mess!
You can put him into a river and see if he can swim!
I think he didn’t wash for a long time, his face looks dim.
Please let him swim for a while if you have logical term.
They laid the fox into a river, but the fox pretends death
All them were troubled and lacking the faith.
No one had belief on him or any applicable oath.
Escapable fox: which one believes on him the truth?

That is enough, praise is to my Allah Almighty who teaches and protects me from the childhood to my primary school (Babnet), the village now becomes under the sea which is situated in north of Mosul city, that was aftermath the dam which Saddam Hussein built it there in 1980.
Many of my memories of the childhood period went under the sea as my village went under the sea.
Still I cry and cry for that period, the beautiful period still rings in my mind, still I console my soul to remember that period in the school that was situated one day beside Tigris River which many and many times I have had barefoot walked near to it.
My friends whether boys or girls still I mention, still I keep their figures in my memory.
All of the guideposts and landmarks of the area went under the water, the water that extends to be farther than my village spots.
    What shall I say then?
Curse is to whom build the dam.
Curse to whom puts its first scheme there.
Curse to whom plotted to kill my memory.
Curse to the dam that bolted our memories.
Curse to anyone stands yonder as reason.
Let the curse eat them to be never.
Let the dragon eat them even to shatter.
Only the water remains! What shall I do with water?

O, God, help me if I got changing for fossil…
Do you make thyself ignorant what it means "fossil"?

God-fearing helps you not to for everlasting fossilized…
Then all your bones again shall be raised.

    Sail the sail

    Poem written by

    MMA

    Mosul- Iraq

Sail the sail and give me your pardon
How far you go, I coo as a pigeon.
Do not leave me awake, but let me sleep.
Reckless body withdrew resistant at each noon.
    *** **** ***
Carry my desire for another land
Sweep my sorrow to be glad
Shall I beseech Allah to return you saved?
I wait as if burnt logs set over a naked hand.
    *** **** ****
My eyes as if they were infected with jealousy.
Your voyage makes me impatient suffering misery.
Ask yourself; didn’t you feel proud with me!
I donate you my calm soul but you leave me stubbornly
    *** *** **** ****
I reckon the stars of the night until the daybreak.
Sleepless at wintry night from the cold I shake.
Henceforth I shall denote to my weak body wrecked picture.
Spring comes yet no sails seem to me over any deck
    ***** **** ****
Let me from thy sorrow wearing additional dress.
However, my soul will be calm living in peace
I am as if naked flower suffering severe cold.
Its climate is cloudy sky and muddy mattress.

Nothing remains , it was sunk

    Nothing remains it was sunk

    Mohammad Ahmad poems

Inside the water it was drowned
The village, which I love it, was doomed
    Nothing remains
    Her face was sealed
    Even her dog was drowned
Even her home, her she-goat was drowned
    Nothing remains even her toy
Still I know where she played
    Her hill still I love
The place that overlooks over her orchard,
    Still tickles my heart
It still overlooks to my door
It sill overlooks to my pen
It still overlooks to my left atrium
    I know that I know
    By my heart I know
A memory of ancient days calls me
Inside my heart, it calls me
A village we love was drowned
A bird we love was drowned
The hill we love was drowned
    Only remembrances remain
Only a bit of deep wound remains
Only a bit of trail such as snake gap remains
You may cry me I am deserted
You may cry me I am alone
    Never should you say
    But to say goodbye
    Say farewell for the dream
Say farewell for the impatient youth
Say farewell to the juicy moment
Say farewell to poor beloved heart
    ****
    Are you alive or dead?
Are you from sold metal made?
I know you still remember our days
I know you still remember the moon we love
I know still you love the same sunrays
I know your moony face still cast over hays.
But what shall I do to the days?
What shall I do to the fate?
What shall I answer you in my dream?
Hi, to the river we sat beside everyday
Hi, to the rock we sat over one day and sing
Hi to the joyful faces returning from farms
Hi to the joyful faces returning from harvest
Hi, to the oar we draw in each evening
Hi, to the skies we steal a look for it and wonder
Your name is the penny I stocked never I lost.
Your face is the paper I wrote never I blot
Here it is inside my body however, fate sought

Time of now is bizarre and strange

Time of now is bizarre and strange

    MMA poems

    Iraqi translator

Time of al- Mutanbi was gone away
    Remote time never comes again
Never shall we battle with swords or javelins…
Never shall we have horses to cross the desert…
Never shall we wait that time to return…
Time of now is bizarre and strange….
Those men of dated history have their good deed…
Look! Now we are tumbling in our affairs….
Fallen in mistake, we want to be pioneers!
As closed window, we halt in the hell…
Formerly we sat beside a river, inhaling its breeze…
What can we do to our desire if it is lame?
Many people knowing not but to intrude selfishly…
Yet there is moon and there is sky….
Into my shadowy curtain, it lights the door…
I woke up to see the sun thriving in my yard….
Looks like my pink roses would endow me a new dream…
However, I am betrayed by others, still I am strong….
    That's my life and I shan't ask others help….
Universal time, nothing from it, I do expect…
Nothing hath guided me but only my feet….
Nothing will help me but only my God…
That's why I do not trust others to be friends…
That's why I do not trust each moment comes….
That's why I avoid myself not to be fallen in mistake…
That's why I consider all things to be my foes….
Is there a bit of reality in this world?
Therefore, we cannot leave out our life to be randomly.
Yearning and desire converted to be a thick ocean as I see…
Truth and honour are just awkward thoughts….
Cursed life never will be adjusted then….
Never will it become straight then…
Even the birds of now chant at a spaceless sadness…
Even the pooch never will bark in front of house….
Even the cat never mews beside the fire stove…
Never can we see a nightingale sings delightedly…
Even the bee never has it had honey nectar….
However, I shall go away to my purpose and seek….
Give me thy thin eyes and I shall teach you how to speak…
Close me thy shoulder and I shall teach you how to dance…
Nevertheless, you recognize until you learn my words…
Harsh words and harsh sentiment gives me back…
Never can it thrive our way to be brightish once more.
Hundred of poems I can poetize every week
Neither I got malady nor do I feel weak…
What do those lame verses can do now?
From a dated word, we derive a new one…
Therefore, it will be suitable to our contemporary time…
Many years I do my job jibbing in what I concern.
I would refuse the calm not to be a hullabaloo of misery.
People never will settle peace but to quarrel themselves.
Aren’t you calling thyself to be the blight of our place?
Not I am the man who has grim hand…
But to do my job with a new activity I shall look.
