    What's for Breakfast?

I'm having 2 hardboiled eggs, toast if I have any bread, and mango.

The mango sounds yum, papaya. I'm having green tea, organic granola and kefir, which I have only recently discovered and loved. Kefir, kefir, kefir! So tangy and delicious. It tastes like the cottage cheese I loved as a child, only liquid.

I usually have two fried eggs with some bacon.
I tend to think of myself as a natural disaster.
If you really piss me off, naturally there be a disaster ...

Today I had two pancakes made of Amaranth, Oats, pecan meal, some carob and two tablespoons of honey. A cup of coffee (240 mg caffeine) with one teaspoon of raw sugar and some half & half. Careful with the coffee. 240 mg is a healthy diuretic. More than that per day might not be healthy.

Ummm, all those homemade pancakes! I love blueberry pancakes, served with a side of peppered bacon, but I haven't made that in a while. Another favorite that I've eaten several times this summer is toast with a bit of mayo, topped with ripe avocado and a dash of salt and pepper. It's fine alone, but quite extraordinary with scrambled eggs.

Today it was bacon on an oven bottom muffin, but most days it's yoghurt and granola.

I'm a porridge man - the best start to the day. As for what goes into the porridge, that depends: a pinch of sugar if I'm feeling normal, a dollop of jam if I've got some in that needs using up, a dash of maple syrup if I'm feeling extravagant, and large wodge of golden syrup if I just can't face the world.

Microwave porridge? That is what I do and have it straight... No fancy syrups! :P

Though, right now I am quite tempted to finish off the leftover Apple Strudel from yesterday's guests!

We should also have a "what would you like for breakfast?" thread

No no, porridge in the pan. But I do like to sweeten it slightly - I don't do the traditional highland thing of putting salt in it.

What would I like to have for breakfast? Well, call me a crazy old hedonist but I'd have... porridge. Yup, I'm quite boring that way.

Two fried eggs, two slices of toast one with home-made apple jelly, one with home-made strawberry jam.
