I loved Shakespeare's Tragedy of Julius Caesar. I think that yes, Brutus was the hero in the play other than Julius himself.

Everyone in the play tried to gain some kind of power (Ex: Brutus wanted so badly to become king, ruler of Rome after the murder of Julius Caesar). Mark Antony was in fact, Julius' right-hand man, aside from Brutus. In order to deceive Julius, the conspirators had to befriend Caesar so he wouldn't suspect something or someone was plotting against him. Calphurnia warned him not to leave his tent, but later on insisted on doing so, on the Ide's of March. I enjoyed this play very much and hope this little overview helps others'.
