Once my pencil-grip was corrected and I started shaping the letters over the lines, writing did get much easier for me... And haven't had any problems, say, for about 40 years or so.

For me, a qualified yes. Writing is a skill and can be learned like any other. It takes practice. So not to say it gets easier though. Like becoming a marksman. At first you can't hit the target but with practice you start hitting target more frequently. After a while you move it farther back. In writing you may be going for more complex themes, drama, whatever. You take aim at something higher. It's not an overnight process.

It must be like dieting or body-building. The results are not immediately noticeable, but they're there. But that's me. If you want results, you dedicate yourself to the process.

I have been writing for fifty years. The writing definitely comes easier the longer one writes. One has learned through the years all the grammatical rules and the mistakes that one should not make. I find that in writing a short story or poem that the writing of the piece flows naturally and there is not that much for revision. The question of course comes up whether the piece I am writing is worth the effort.

pencil? not a pen then or even a fountain pen? haha
about pencils,children at primary in the uk are not granted ''pen licence'' till their handwriting gets perfect. go figure . I would have thought hand writing change from pen to pencil to fountain pen depending.

"Pencil grip" is a general term used for a child's way of holding a pen/pencil etc... Not necessarily about a pencil.
