Amazingly, it is all sleet, only we had so much it looks like snow. Earlier, I defrosted the car windows and broke off slabs 2 inches thick !

Windy...temperatures are dropping....outside my window is a great night for viewing twinkling stars!
I luv the night skies! So peaceful yet so full of life.

    Outside Our Window While Sleeping

The winter sky is gray. We like to sleep,
Tend dreams that warm the weather felt within.
The sun sneaks in the peacefulness of dawn
With some more snow to brighten up the street.

The Polar Voltex has subsided for the weekend and you no longer see your breath in front of your nose. All of the snow has turned to mud and I thought I heard a bird singing this morning. Tomorrow it will be warm as my body has become conditioned to temps in the single digits. One thing about the cold is it creates amazing sunsets up on the hill at the dog park.

Outside my window it is snowing and expecting many inches more...but for now it is prefect..

    I sit and watch
    with still breath
    the snow as it covets
    the evergreens,
    with winter.

    the air is crisp
    the night is clean
and the crunch of the snow
    beneath mine and Z's steps
    brings promises.

    this night is peace.
there is a certain silence here
    that only souls can here.
and I lift my eyes to the sky.

My university's faculty. I can actually spot a teacher working in his office! If I am procrastinating or being lazy all I need to do is look out of the window!
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.
