I agree that Romeo and Juliet is not Shakespeare's best play; it comes nowhere near to plays like Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice or Twelfth Night- but I still enjoy performing it. Shakespeare is such a genius- I looked over my lines and found multiple meanings. Romeo and Juliet as a play is tragic, romantic, yet witty and clever at parts. This overview has been very helpful as to directing my thoughts on how to improve my acting to suit what the bard himself intended the play to be like. Keep up the good work!
