I read Aiding and Abetting couple of years ago, which was good.

Would like to nominate The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie simply because the title is too good to be left out.

Agreed Scher. The title is quite eye-catching. I'd second the nomination of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.

I have voted Even if Jean Brodie is the winner I might just join you. It's an ace book. Miss Jean Brodie is very funny (and kinda sad too).

I saw the DVD at the library today and was tempted to borrow it but I will wait until after I have read it.

I think I will read the winner regardless as well.

    Oh! Oh!

    May I nominate another Sparks??

    Memento Mori

    From Amazon.....
"Unforgettably astounding and a joy to read, Memento Mori is considered by many to be the greatest novel by the wizardly Dame Muriel Spark.

In late 1950s London, something uncanny besets a group of elderly friends: an insinuating voice on the telephone informs each, "Remember you must die." Their geriatric feathers are soon thoroughly ruffled by these seemingly supernatural phone calls, and in the resulting flurry many old secrets are dusted off. Beneath the once decorous surface of their lives, unsavories like blackmail and adultery are now to be glimpsed. As spooky as it is witty, poignant and wickedly hilarious, Memento Mori may ostensibly concern death, but it is a book which leaves one relishing life all the more."

    Hi, Jane.

The nominations are over, I am afraid and now we are voting for the book to read in March.

Would you like to take part?

On a positive note, I think the library has an e-copy of Miss Brodie.
