    cannonball

there once was an old man called cannonball
who hardly had any hair on his head - at all
    while he looked rather grievous
    he was often mischievous
his drink of choice was a spritz of geritol

    Lol!

The snake( another no nonsensical poem)

    An angry majesty is she
    When she rises her head.
    Yet she is used
    to creeping on the ground.
    Her printed dresses
    are unique
    and fill with awe.
    She uses the arm
    of the destitute.
    Her venom is legend.

    Interesting... Metaphor ?

    Into the Whirlwind

Fleetingly fast, it tries, it tries
    The Black-bellied whistling duck
Full fledging fast, it tries to fly
    The whirlwind approaches
the duck whistles louder and louder
    The frantic excitement -
A modern day troubadour - it flies
Into the whirlwind, its whistles crack -
One feather gone, another, and another
"Quack !" goes the Black-bellied whistling duck
And "quack !", then "quack !" again
    Into the whirlwind
    A wailing "QUACK !"

    Maybe, but not intentional.
Ai! My sympathies are all with the duck!

    The Sun
    After gray cold days
    Sunshine!
I wanted to greet the sun,
as people did in the old times,
but the little balcony of my home
    is too prosaic.
Then I wanted to write an ode to the sun,
    Exalting his warmth,
    his generosity
    in giving back
    the colors of life.
    But I can´t write odes,
    so these words are just
    the expression of my happiness!
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "

    Enjoyed very much !

    A Man From Space

There once was a man from space
Who when found out gave quite a chase
    He caused quite a kerfuffle
When he jumped into his duffel
    Disappearing without a trace

    Lol! Enjoyed!

The woman that went into Space

There once was a Mrs. Duffle
(don´t ask me about Mr. Duffle)
living in the town of Muffle
with a golden hen, called Ruffle.

But one day there was a wild chase
    and Duffle, Ruffle, Muffle
    and even Puffle
(who wasn´t part of the story)
    vanished with grace
    into space
    without leaving trace.

    Existence. An attempted didactic sextain

    Being born- crying, kicking
    Darwin
    Playing, crying, laughing
    Freud
    Working, loving, grumbling
    Marx

    Puffle !

Love the poem Poor Marx grumbling.

    Breakfast

    Omelets are dreamy for breakfast
    I like them with spinach
    That green hue -
    That didgeridoo background music
    really whets my appetite

    Flapjacks on the side
Flapjacks - the true source of of vitamin F,
buttered liberally to slither down the throat
    easily

Sometimes a bagel (though rare): sliced with
    strawberry crème cheese slathered on...
    Bagels make me shiver

And lastly - a side of bacon or
    sausage (or both )
    with juice and hot cocoa
    to wash it all down

Then a nap for the rest of the day !

Lol! It seems your appetite is ok! Learned a new word

    Tapioca Flapjack

    The most neutral of Flapjacks
    !t looks at me
    In its crisp Majesty.

    Without an own flavor
    It welcomes
    all fillings in the world:
    Cheese
    Palm hearts
    veggies

    Apples
    Nutella
    Banana
    and even fishes
    from the
    Susquehanna
    (but only for the sake
    of the rhyme)

Of all the Flapjacks the most quick
    It´s ready in three minits.

    A Man With COVID-19

There once was a man who liked life
Who got COVID-19 with all of its strife
He'd rather be out in public
    Of the Golden Pine Republic
Rather than being in quarantine with his wife

    Snif!

    A "V" story
    There once was a virus
    Virulent
    Vicious
    Villainous
Voracious( and what more epithets there are starting with "V")

To confront it we invented the Vaccine:
    Vibrant
    Vivacious
    Virtuous
    and specially
    viable!

    This was no vulgar strife,
    Vaccine 1 versus virus1
    Vaccine 2 versus virus 2
    Vaccine 3 versus virus 3...

    At the end
    The vexed virus vanned and
    valour was victorious.
