eventually
sky over stars rules
such is the status
of planets without
fools
sing along it may
just take one
to an earth without
curse!
it may never try
but when it does it sigh
it is just that
good
it fly
Enjoyed
Secrets
She gives her diet soda a shake,
laughing when the bubbles break.
The sounds of silence keep her awake -
yonder waves and gulls forsake.
Biscuits are random, giant, and deep,
but have no secrets to keep.
After eating cake and thoughts of sleep -
dark dreams after counting sheep.

Enjoyed both your poems, cacian and tailor. Cacianīs poem reminds me of "The little prince", tailor's is about a not so little princess?
THE EARTH
Itīs brown, itīs red
Itīs green and blue
itīs heart secrets
grey ruins and black embers.
It floats in round eternity
Losing its ephemeral children
to Father Time.
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "
Gerald Murnane, Tamarisk Row
Sadly, a reluctant princess. Feeling ephemeral for now... with hope for much more
An Ode to a Spirit
Charming spirit, such a delightful sight.
How I love when you (from nowhere ?) appear.
At first when you arrived I was affright,
'tis but living in a dream when you're near.
Might I inquire, how long will you stay ?
You exist ! Are no mere superstition.
The jasmine and honeysuckles of May,
Pale to the scent of your apparition.
You manifest as a spectral pure light.
With flashing green eyes, my glad companion,
Your sweet humor is my unfeigned delight.
Surely this is no infatuation.
Now, as my days shorten, be still my heart,
I long for the days we're never apart.

Enjoyed the spirit of the poem!
The year
Sleepy January,
Dancing February
or maybe March
Passionflower in April,
May and June a friendly turmoil...
Holydays in July!
Brisk August,
Slow September
October, November,
melt quickly into December
and itīs Christmas rushes,
Do the years still have months
after one is seventy?
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "

Loved your poem In answer, we'll find out soon enough (lol).
nonsense - an acrostic
numerous pebbles cobble streams
onomatopoeic cool rushes calm
net frills avoided by fish gills thrill
scintillating bubbles burble effervescently
ecological disparities get their freak on
numerous pebbles contain salmon eggs
stupidities generating liquidities, as
eels wear patchwork quilts of kelp

Winter in May
Inane teas
Wrecked blankets
Frozen houses, stranded buildings.
But on the dark streets,
Cold terror reigns!
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "

Brutal winter and urban danger... on the flip side:

A Man Who Owned Trees - A Limerick
There once was a man who owned trees.
Who said, "See the great Japanese!"
It was an ornamental Maple,
Which gave him no syrple,
No matter how many times he said please!

There once were three men...
There once were three men
One owned a hen
The second one a gem
And the last one a pen
The first one ate his hen
The second sold his gem
The third one penned
this poem.
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "

Enjoyed. Did some random googling using your words and found this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert...int_engravings
Includes a hen (hen and henpecked) and a diamond pen !
The Lyricist
His words hammer when he performs.
Into a rock god he transforms.
His fans, like locusts - in vast swarms,
Endure even the worst of storms.
And when he gives his fist a shake,
Laughing till the gates of hell quake,
The only other sounds the break,
Of silence when the masses wake.
Lyrics burn sonorous and deep,
Those who truly understand weep,
And in that instant, in one sweep,
Casts the shackles from off the sheep.
Rising, still weary from his bed,
With new arpeggios in his head,
He reflects on the quick and dead,
With too many words left unsaid.

Huballo Hill
Huballo
On Huballo Hill
The world stands still
On Huballo plane
Lifeīs ever the same
In Huballo woods
The wanderer broods
But Huballo river
What a fever, what a fever!
