    An Anonymous Critic Named Marceau

There once was a critic who admired Chagall
So much he attended an event through a squall
He specifically liked his depictions of cats
Which he held to the highest review such that's
He gave each one 5 out of 5 étoiles

Lol! I never knew that Chagall loved and painted cats but this is the result of my research:
    https://www.thegreatcat.org/the-cat-...ussian-french/

A not so anonymous cat depicted by Chagall

    Some humans cultivate strange habits.
Daddy pawed some colors and lo,
this smudge looks a bit like what?
    Oh, I see, a cat!
    Is that me?

    I have to confess though
that I am much more beautiful,
    than this rather hazy creature.
Definitively the better painter is Nature.
    But Daddy captured well
    my affectionate look.
    It will shine through ages.

re: Thanks. Did you see Chagall´s cat paintings on the botton of it?

Of course! Mine the cat from the cat and child group with its almost human expression of affection.

from my contribution for the "Thursdays at Two" poetry group that was cancelled due to snow today:

Belling the Poet / an Acrostic assignment

"Why should poetry have to make sense?" - Charlie Chaplin

A poet both lives and observes life. Writing

Needs a passion of many disciplines, a

Time alone... silence, like an unread book

In its conception the process consists of

Tinkering and musing - even stealing poetry

Ideas... choosing language. Optionally, form is

Nuanced when cleverly utilized; forms like

Triversen lend a framework for dropping

Idioms and onomatopoeic spices upon a

Neutral landscape - like adding a single rose

Nigh an otherwise stagnant still life - each petal

An aromatic memory taking shape deep down

Below one's conscious thought evoking the

Undeniable truths of fundamental being - Grand

Lays speak of romance and lend to song - Canyon

And river, sky and sea, mythical, magical, and

Real or unseen - these are the worlds waiting

Inside each poet to spill upon the page for

Agonizing hours for poverty's laurel; even the

Nebulist poet will produce a distant echo

    3/2/2023 r. 3/11/2023

Acrostic: Antitintinnabularian: one opposed to bell ringing.

Golden Shovel: "Writing a book of poetry is like dropping a rose petal down the Grand Canyon and waiting for the echo." - Don Marquis quote

    Charming ars poetica!

It was kind of you furnishing the solution of the acrostic for I got absolutely stuck. Next time I need a difficult word it will be Antitintinnabularian.

An Anonymous Man Named Timon Bey

There once was a man from Istanbul
Who said, "See how life is so minuscule!"
    He expounded at length
    With all of his strength
His logic so Venn, and so Boole

There was once an anonymous man
    He was so so anonymous,
that even he didn't know his name.
But he had a golden pen.

Poor enchained ghost. Didn´t locate the anagram though.

    The ice (cream) mice

There once where some little mice
    who loved ice(cream)
One didn´t have to ask them twice
    If they wanted ice (cream).

    But every vice (snif!)
    Has it´s price.
    The little mice
    Rejected their rice
    They only wanted ice (cream)!

    So when they died
    They turned into ice.
    For this silly poem
    I apologize!
