    SILENCE FOR THE SENSES
    By Anna Sterling

    Silence is a good smell
But it is only smelled by the best people
You take in its delicious aroma
    Only to neglect it
The odor of noise smells better to you

    Silence is unique
    It is not pretty
    Not ugly
    Yet it is very charming
Your eyes do not understand it
    But someday they will

The beauty of silence is you can't hear it
Unless you really take it in
And you can hear the vibrations of it
    None

    Silence is a soft feather
    A cloud to sleep on
    A pillow to dream on
Noise is hard and lumpy like stone

If you are hungry, feast on silence
    It feeds the soul
    It is food for thought
Taste it and you will never feel hunger again

I like the last two verses better than what comes before them which is very prosey - and a little flakey.

You will get more feedback if you post poems in the Personal Poetry section.
