What is more important, the perception of the good for society, or their individual rights?
I would think it would be their individual rights. If we are to make a mistake, it might as well be because of our own actions. We tend to learn from our mistakes, and I believe that eventually we would start down the right path. Besides, who's to say that the government's perception of what's good for society is actually what's best for society?
