Question Anyone know common plot points and stock characters in YA Fiction?

I'm curious if anyone here has any idea what common types of characters (both heroes and villains) are in Young-Adult Fiction. Perhaps their typical personalities, morality, etc. as well as common plot points and tools like for example love triangles.

The most common type is the coming-of-age novel, which looks at teenage rites of passage such as drinking, drug experimenting, staying out late, etc.

Stock characters include the innocent unworldly teenager, the worldly teenager who "corrupts" the innocent teen, the outcast (possibly because they are associated with drugs/drink), the child that comes from a broken home, the beautiful popular girl, the hunk, etc.
