This is one of the hardest LitNet poetry contests to pass judgement on - each author has a right to be proud of what they've accomplished here.

There was one, though, that for me stood out as the first among equals, so I've voted for that one.
"I should only believe in a God that would know how to dance. And when I saw my devil, I found him serious, thorough, profound, solemn: he was the spirit of gravity- through him all things fall. Not by wrath, but by laughter, do we slay. Come, let us slay the spirit of gravity!" - Nietzsche

Apparently, this one is going to be close! And so it should be! Great poems, all!
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

All the entries are so good that it took me three days and many re-reads to finally settle on one. I was torn between two poems. It's a pity that I have just one vote. Anyway, good luck to all!

We at least need one more vote to break the stalemate. Read and heed!

It can't get more interesting. Four poems have two votes each. Who will be the winner? Come on folks, VOTE!

I enjoyed all of them. Three were very, very good. One stood out for me.

    Here's to writing.

Gosh, this is exciting! The field narrows further...

Don't scream, I'm extending the deadline one more day as some have indicated an interest in voting, and I love the idea of as many people participating as possible.

    Amazing talent!
That goes toward all entries. I was torn between the last two, but alas I can vote for one only.
    Nice effort by all.

sorry for creating a tie - another extension?
