Shoelace Tying, Double Knot: Yea or May?

I have to double that **** up. I get my kicks secure on my feet.

Edit: I am a typo-making machine, of late.

I double or even triple knot; I walk very quickly and rarely notice if my laces are becoming undone which often leads to shoe related suffering. Mostly falling flat on my face or down stairs at train stations

    Double 'em up for me!

My boots in particular will always come undone after about 3 minutes if I only use a single knot.

The only exception is formal wear, when a double knot just doesn't look tidy enough.

I don't think the options offered are comprehensive enough. What about those who prefer double knot for certain shoes or who never actually tie the shoelaces at all?

Not to mention those who wear shoes without laces or velcros?

I feel I am unable to take part in this discussion until enough options are provided.

Oh, maybe you mean to ask whether shoelaces exist? Do we believe in shoelaces?

Once when I was a young kid, a friend's mother tied my shoes with a double-knot before I went home, and my unsuccessful attempts to undo the damn thing traumatized me for life. Single knot all the way.

I feel this must be a thread for the elderly like myself, who still know what a shoelace is.

A glance at the poll shows that Alexander III goes for Velcro. This is indeed a surprise as I would have thought that he would have gone for something more along these lines.
