    May is a Maiden

    May is a Maiden

    May is a maiden at home in Garden Valley
    A vanity of colourful blossomings and bloom

    But sometimes her mind is of the baking sun;
    and others fickle with the giggles of snow

    Today must be her washing day; for a North
    wind blows and the dark skyes hint of rain

    tailor,

    This is a really good poem. May is awfully fickle in the foothills. You spelled "skies" funny. Anyways, this poem really captures the lightness that this reader associates with May, a maiden who has almost left us now.

    And a fine month she was.

    Thank you Jack of Hearts !

    I often spell "sky" as "skye" as a hold-over from an {old} home address on Skye Court B - out in Neo's neck of the woods.

    Yes, she is a fine month; I'll miss her. I associate June with swoon (S.F. baseball reference); hope he honors us with compassion.
