Thumbs up your favourite artist/actor of all time

I thought we could put this up as our forum bafta awards for favourite actor/actress and a duet of two actors/actresses.

on the top of my list I have two and in a particular order of age differencesfor the first two I have:

    Robert De Niro
    Johnny Depp

then the duet has to go to:

Clarck Gable and Vivien Leigh for their spectacular performance of a the most appealing couple on the big screen.

Mia Wasikowska (I have seen her in three movies and she is good, but mainly because a few people have said I look like her(never been compared to an actress before, it got to my head))

I've got lots of favourites, but the clear winners in my mental BAFTAs are Sir Ian McKellan and Dame Judi Dench.

McKellan, in particular, I regard as the greatest living actor, and the best since Olivier himself.
"I should only believe in a God that would know how to dance. And when I saw my devil, I found him serious, thorough, profound, solemn: he was the spirit of gravity- through him all things fall. Not by wrath, but by laughter, do we slay. Come, let us slay the spirit of gravity!" - Nietzsche

Daniel Day-Lewis is probably my favourite actor. My favourite "duet" is Tom Hanks and Robin Wright-Penn in the film Forest Gump. But if you had not picked Clarke Gable and Vivien Leigh and I had not the need to say something different I probably would have picked them. Gone With The Wind is one of the ultimate cinematic experiences of all time.

Man this is hard for me. Al Pacino and Robert de Niro are generic faves but John Travolta in Pulp Fiction, Liam Neeson in Schindler's List, and Lee J Cobb in 12 Angry Men are stand-outs as well.

I'll also throw my hat in for Daniel Day Lewis. The man is absolutely brilliant, and his performance in There Will Be Blood is easily one of the best of all time. I can't wait to see him as Abraham Lincoln.

Of-course my two favorite comedians are Toto and Alberto Sordi. Toto was a very cultured man and even composed some poetry. Many people would say these two are the finest Italy has ever had.
