    clumsily tumbling
    like tumblers
    or something-or-others
    the labourers bundling
    rafters and awnings
    laughing
    one another
    longing
    the buzzing of ochres
    and umbers
    a jungle of mumblers
    the sufferers
    of buzz saw lobotomies
    are teething no longer
    such wealth
    and redemption
    resurrection through
    metamorphosis
    assembled and suspending epicentred
in a splendour of slenderly wound timber
    I wonder
the spiralling staircase is an extension
    of the heavens
    signed by someone-or-other
    that humble carpenter
    anonymous and unfunded they say
    and remembered as an angel
    undercover
    with a hammer of mahogany

-seems my find function didn't highlight midnight blue as a duplicate. Alternatively use blood burgundy if desired.

    Midnight Blue

    Midnight blue
    Coming through
    Upon the empty road.
    Autumn wind
    About me grinned
And freed me from my load.

    Midnight blue,
    Nothing new
    Comes around the bend.
    There's no one there.
    No need to stare.
We'll make it to the end.

    Midnight blue,
    I love you, too.
Our home is now in sight.
    And safe we'll be
    Eternally,
    Dancing with delight.

    tangerine
    a florentine seen
    orange to the light
    sheens
    it appears tan
    like a sun high meridian
    ran
    but under a dim
    it appears slim
    it almost trims
    to become gone
    white perpendiculars
    its height
    ephemere till the day airs
    beautiful
    it fairs.

    Carried Away

    Carried Away

These padded walls of my cell are the colour of caraway
fruits in the cakes I am fed; and as pungent as my poverty

O' for the black seed of home, being the cure for every
ailment 'cept death, to cure my madness and set me free

    ochre
    the tangerine
    poker
    it fades late
    under a light
    states
    but reinforces
    weights
    under a dim
    great
    double is to wait
    to your every faith.

A Study in Light Pink / Titania

    She floated like a cloud
into the night within an aura
    of light pink light;
    ushering in an illusion
    of innocence and grace -
    a playful naiveté
    that took one's breath away
    Cold and calculating
she whisked! me from the air
    hands tightly cupped together
    catching yet another firefly

    Lavender

    You have become faded
    as Miss Havisham,
    a Mariana,
    but still there remains
    traces of your beauty
    in soft subtle tones
    which cannot be denied,
    it is a remembrance
    of lingering aromas,
    an exotic taste
upon the tip of the tongue,
    yet it whisperers of
    melancholy.

    the mechanics
    of the sun
    they shine upon
    thee
    in and out of
    demi
    a light a breeze
    to be
    appears to flee
    and you to
    seas of colour
    you are auror.

    Beige

    Beige is bland,
    Works nine to five.
    Some wonder how
    Beige stays alive.

    It just exists
    From now to now
    Enjoying it
    Most anyhow.

    light green
    is a shade
    cream
    against
    the sun it leans
    but against the clouds
    it streams
    jets of turquoise
    it is a dream
    such colour is a
    scream.

    A Luminescent Raw Umber Glow

    The people, a luminescent raw
umber glow, dance - arms upraised
    Outlined in carbon black abstract
    they gloat over enemies designated
by red and yellow ochers resembling
hot embers in a crackling fire
A bonfire's blaze adds life and
    violence to the flickering tableau
    Bison caper gracing another wall
    and black-tailed deer evoke the
joy! of the chase; the short-faced
    bear and long-toothed cat remind
them all too well of their frailty

    In my childhood
    In my mind
    I find
    My scribbly lines
    My rivers and lakes
    My pines
    My Railway signs
    Steam train tracks
    And a timeline of things
    It seems
    I left behind.
    Between the tines
    I find
    Of my enchanted forest browns
    Burnt umbers, Burlywoods
    A little book of mine
    A little mind
    A little hand
    A little sketch I signed
    Reminds...
    I was forever drawing
    All my spare time
    At the kitchen table
    The partially open blinds
Reminds me the colours I'd colour between
The lines that I sometimes went over
And how it was fine by everyone but I
    Of course it refined
    In time
    Eventually..
    Hah...such a funny mind
    And funny line of thinking
    In hindsight, I find
    I'm pleasantly surprised
