"You understand well enough what slavery is, but freedom you have never experienced, so you do not know if it tastes sweet or bitter. If you ever did come to experience it, you would advise us to fight for it not with spears only, but with axes too." - Herodotus

I'm wit'cha, Idril:
Now the doctor came in, stinking of gin, and proceeded to lie on the table
He said, “Rocky you’ve met your match.”
And Rocky said, “Doc, it’s only a scratch, but I’ll be better, I’ll be better, Doc, as soon as I am able.”
I like this one too:
Happiness is a Warm Gun
Bang-Bang Shoot-Shoot
But deep down, I prefer The Stones - just some good ole, bluesy, roadhouse, ROCK-N-ROLL!
Say it ain't so, Joe.

you can't help respecting anybody who can spell TUESDAY, even if he doesn't spell it right; but spelling isn't everything. there are days when spelling tuesday simply doesn't count. ~rabbit (winnie the pooh)

When I was a kid, I hated the Beatles. But I blame my parents for that. Because when I was I kid, the only exposure I had to the Beatles was through them and it was only the early, 1963-66 Beatles where it was sugar-coated pop and every other song had love in the title; Can't Buy Me Love, Love Me Do, She Loves You, All My Loving, P.S. I Love You, etc, etc. etc. I hated those Beatles, and I still do. It wasn't until later in my life, late teens or so, that I got exposed to the Revolver/Sgt. Pepper's/Abby Road Beatles. And those Beatles are INFINITELY superior to the early Beatles in my opinion, and I suspect in theirs as well. I know it to be so in John Lennon's case, as I have seen numerous interviews with him from the late 60's-early 70's where he dismissed the early Beatles work as something he was beyond. I have never heard Paul McCartney express that sentiment, but I suspect he feels the same way. Because now, in 2012, 45 years later, he still performs stuff like Get Back, Eleanor Rigby, Hey Jude, etc, etc, but when was the last time you saw him perform Ticket to Ride or I Wanna Hold Your Hand?
Yeah, I can't get into the early Beatles stuff, either, though I don't think I dislike it. Rubber Soul really seems like the turning point, and therere still some gems in the early stuff.
Beatles For Sale (1965) is great. I do agree however that the later stuff is superior

I love Something, and I Will. I just sculpted a yellow submarine for a friend of mine. She has commissioned several more sculptures of characters from the movie as well. Fun fun.
Let it Be is one of my favorites.
Sgt pepper will always be one of their best albums, even though I think they got better with age and Rubber soul is my all time favorite, pepper is just great!
