    Spanish literature question

    Hi
I'm looking the title of a book (or perhaps it was a short story), Spanish literature, written by a South American author, with 'bridge' in the title? It followed the lives of various people who all ended up perishing on a certain bridge when it collapsed or a bus went over it, or something dreadful like that.
    Thanks.

"The Bridge of San Luis Rey" fits your description except that it was written by an American (although it takes place in S. America). Maybe?
I wrote a poem on a leaf and it blew away...
