One is not dumb if one is unable to comprehend. Illiterate people are not stupid; they simply cannot get it alone. Perhaps you might consider helping them understand, instead of condemning them to their own struggles.

hay bren if you are so smart why dont you say something in my thread above "A tale of two cities- New found interest". And yes i agree that many are unable to appreciate the complexity of the book, but many are not as interested in the book as you and i and so don't give it a chance. Also dickens dosn't give a uninterested reader a chance with his wordiness.
