Hello
What would be some good short stories that involve money?
There is a Dorothy Parker short story ("The Standard of Living"?) that presents the theme of money and excess and happiness--as in, I need more money to achieve happiness, but every time I get more money I need even more money!

There's a D. H. Lawrence short story about a boy on a rocking horse - I half-remember that money is a sub-theme, or maybe a metaphor - no doubt someone who's read it more recently could say.

were written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and collected in Tales of the Jazz Age. His long short story May Day is revealing about the monied class of the 1920s, not so much cifferent from those of today. The Rich Boy is another good one. Most only know Fitzgerald from his novels, but he was one of the superlative short story writers of the 20th century. He wrote about different subject matter than Hemingway, but his short stories were every bit as good. He also wrote some of the early fantasy stories. Try A Diamond as Big as the Ritz and The Curious Case of Bejamin Button, recently made into a movie with Brad Pitt.
