I completely agree with you. THis book sucked beyond belief and was incredibly boring.

I completed my GCSEs this year, and as part of the English syllabus was made to read Great Expectations, much to my horror due to the complexity of both language and plot. However, I soon found myself fully immersed in Pip's adventure, and foudn the book to be a great insight into human nature, class difference and love. It is a book which should be read and enjoyed by everybody, though perhaps its inclusion in the GCSE syllabus should be questioned as it takes away the enjoyment and immersion intended by the author.
