A young “courbaril” (tropical tree) which survived from a human invasion stood up in a field of buildings. It was the only rescue of a little wood which sheltered a numerous and varied fauna.

The survivor which couldn’t itself explain this miracle had to however, overcome the hardship and fight the loneliness. The time spending, it eventually accepted its fate and did even new friends. The children of the area often have come to play, in the shade of its leafy branches. It liked them so much that he couldn’t live without them and suffered from their absence during the school's days...
