Talking BBC's The Adventures of Merlin

I know I'm behind like four or five years, but I'm deep into the BBC's family friendly version of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table. What I was wondering was how close the episodes are to the myths. They seem pretty dead-on to me, but I'm no expert in King Arthur myths. What do ya'll think?

Well some things are changed to accommodate being more family friendly
Mordred's origin is the best exemple , he is Arthur and Morgana's illegitimate child,Merlin helping Uther by making him look exactly like Gorlois to have a night with Igraine as a result Arthur is born
