jane eyre is a classic. you must have heard what was charolette bronte's ideas when she decided to pen a character like jane. she wanted to prove to everyone that a girl as plain as her can also be the heroine of a novel. so here she tried to defy the conventional norms about a woman. the novel is full of issues pertaining to gender and society. you can pick up on her school where she is sent to live, her job at rochester's place and her position there and many more.
