Aye (quite often) I'm listening to Elise Lebec's Possible Dreams (album of the same name) as I was writing this last sentence. I composed/reproduced? a small piece of piano music myself from a poem I wrote nearly 9-years ago... the music came to me in a lucid dream, though I heard it as a choral. I've been told I need to flesh out the poem and music a bit, it's very minimalistic.

That´s nice. I never composed anything. Scratched the guitar a bit.

Nay. I love the normal guitar.

re: bell bottoms - I always felt ridiculous in them... I would have never bought them for myself {thanks Mom}... I've never ridden the fashion wave.

Aye... Classical mostly; the flute playing by Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull was quite fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wd6u3hQ9bkQ and Native American flute can be quite melodic.

    Chamber music ?

Street Theater?... I don't think I've ever seen street theater, but the concept seems fine so...

Aye, if it's e.g. an orchestra playing Beethoven (or Ligeti or whatever) or a theatre group doing Shakespeare or something.

well north star I had to look that up, and i'll go for aye both in general principle that all musical instruments are good, and in particular because this one seems pretty nifty.

and to my litnet colleagues above---in undergrad i took ballet and i was in both the folk dance and modern dance clubs! smiles...

Police walking beats vs squad cars - I suppose this is about the sort of urban areas where it can make sense. If there are resources for it, I'm sure it can only do good to have a police officer in the street, making them more a part of the community than if they just drive past in cars.
