Aye, the poor devil.
Kipling?
Aye, the poor devil.
Kipling?
nay, but i'm modern in tastes for this forum (hence why i'm usually in games and not discussion)
BBC news?
Nay, at least not BBC America with Kattie Kaye. What a load of crypto-socialist crap. I used to like BBC radio, though, when I lived in Africa.

BBC is awful, one of the worst.
Soul patches on no one, nay.
Celebrity culture, movies, hollywood, magazines, etc?
So with the courage of a clown, or a cur, or a kite jerkin tight at it's tether
nay.
Independent films?
I prefer the idea of the "art film" before the days of "Indies," but sure, anything's better than Whoreywood.
Ken Burns?
It depends on the film. Of course many excellent directors in Hollywood--e.g. Spielberg, Scorsese, Nolan, Jones, Tarantino, and Anderson--have produced amazing films. So, one doesn't have to pretentiously hold their nose to Hollywood to find great films.
Is Mulholland Drive a masterpiece?
Depending on taste, it certainly can be. Or not. Perception is everything.
Should synchronized swimming be an Olympic sport?
Some of us laugh
Some of us cry
Some of us smoke
Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...
No, it should just fall under the general category of comedy.
Ken Burns films?
I love synchronized swimming! and I had a crush in grad school on a classmate who competed in the 96 Olympics in it...
the "problem" with aesthetic sports is some folks don't like the way winners are determined, subjective judgment as opposed to objective scores.
ive only ever seen his "baseball" work and enjoyed that. I appreciate the effort it takes to create a documentary like that, so I say aye, at least in that regard.
Quentin tarantino films?
somehow posted twice...
so another opportunity to say "yay synchronized swimming!"
I like curling too!
Nay. A joke's only worth it when it's actually funny.
Kung Fu movies as a genre?
Nay
The increasing practice of revisionist history in Western Society?
Aye where it means skepticism about earlier scholarship, nay where it means mindless PC.
Mixing Guinness and champagne?
Nay, but I'm willing to try it.
(Pompey, I suppose I was mainly referring to mindless PC, not actual, "jeez, we had that history completely wrong").
West Coast of US or North East Coast of US, if you had to make that choice?
