    Best English translation?

I am attempting to build a personal classics library with modern editions with the best translations. It's a bit cheesy, but I'm trying to do something like this poster, buying from "classics editions", so long as the translations and notes are good. I already own an old copy of the Signet Classics of this novel, and I'm not sure if it's good or not.

Amazon's comments are a great place to find detailed comparisons of translations.

Dostoevsky can write a little and it it seems as always Norton has got it right. Little to complain of regards translation. Rework, I believe of the earlier Constance Garnett translation.

The Pevear/Volokhonsky is most likely the greater translation. They have won countless awards for translating Russian Literature, so you cannot go wrong.
