    God Bless You My Child

    My five year old girl
    asked me to describe,
how it feels to be in hell.
    I gazed at the nowhere
    thinking of the best description,
to make her do all good
    and also to decrease,
    cookie stealing addiction.

So i answered in a scary tone:
"it's just like being on Earth"
    but my words didn't leave
    the required effect,
for she just smiled at me
    and happily said: "that's great,
    now i am not afraid
    to steal my brother's cookies"

    I should have expected that
    from a five year old,
    so i hugged her tight,
    and laughed out loud
at how silly my answer was.
Then I gazed at those wide eyes
    blazing with will and hope,
and said: "God bless you , my child".

Can definitely relate to the urge to simultaneously direct and protect... it's such a fine line, sometimes.

Simple and great. We always learn so much from young children' logic!
