    what does this line in Gospel of Thomas means?

    i read this in Gospel of Thomas :

    "Whoever is acquainted with the father and the mother will be called the offspring of a prostitute. "


    can any body explain please..

    It means: If your dad is a Roman solider and your mom a harlot, do not hang about with them otherwise narrow-minded busybodies and bigoted flibbertigibbets will think you are a wrong-'un.

    It seems a simple dismissal of the feminine from the Divine as far as I can gather.
