Hello,
I'm working on an interpretation on James Lasdun's short story "It's Beginning to Hurt", but so far I haven't achieved much.
The main points of this interpretation are supposed to be:
- The symbolical meaning of the fish
- The semantization of space
- The meaning of the title
If anyone can give me any pointers or thoughts about it, I'd really appreciate it.
Any comments on the overall meaning of the text (beyond the pure plot level) would also be helpful.
Normally I wouldn't ask, but I can't make sense of this story, no matter what I try.
Thanks
