Post E.T.A. Hoffmann or Jean Paul - "Von fremden Ländern und Menschen"

    Hello,

I am currently looking for a story written by E. T. A. Hoffmann, Jean Paul or both with the name of "Von fremden Ländern und Menschen" (About foreign countries and people). The story talks about a foreign man, J.S. Bach, who goes to the Romantic world to make people remember what they had lost from the past. It is supposedly the inspiration for Schumann's first piece of the Kinderszenen Op. 15, "Von fremden Ländern und Menschen", but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Could you please help me?

    Thank you very much,
    Miguel Santana
