Are we on the brink of a journalistic/literary revolution?

I'm a 3rd year student at University, studying for my dissertation, and would quite like to get some discussions going about my subject area.
So I would appreciate any feedback or just chatter about what this question means to you, on the surface or deep into the bowls of society. Thanks Ollie.

If this means literature is being changed by journalism, sorry, happened 300 years ago.

I need time to digest the question. Be back in about thirty minutes.
