    Sleep Well

When you drift off to slumber ~
    Dream of me.
    With flowers in my hair
And the smell of sweet jasmine.
    Sleep well.
    Hold me tight and
    We will protect each other
    Against the night.

Such a sweet little piece to read at bedtime. Thanks kittypaws

"But do you really, seriously, Major Scobie," Dr. Sykes asked, "believe in hell?"
    "Oh, yes, I do."
    "In flames and torment?"
"Perhaps not quite that. They tell us it may be a permanent sense of loss."
"That sort of hell wouldn't worry me," Fellowes said.
"Perhaps you've never lost anything of importance," Scobie said.

A nice piece - almost like a prayer.

The "tight" and "night" sounds make a nice ending for this.

To better emphasize the tight/night rhyme - and the poem needs a rhyme to kiss it to sleep, as it were - you might consider moving "and" from the end of the third to last line to the beginning of the next line.

    For those who believe,
    no explanation is necessary.
    For those who do not,
    none will suffice.
