And though I do not care for Brooks' later films at all (*cough*Robin Hood*cough*) I love love love his three greatest and most nutty films: Blazing Saddles, The Producers and Young Frankenstein. The guy was epic.

I don't find Brooks funny at all
I think he's built specifically for an American audience
none of his comedies are much loved over here.
