    Avatar Top 10

A few who may know me, are aware that I have a particular love for lists and so I couldn't help myself but list my top 10 favorite avatars on the forums and I would like to know what you guys think are the best too.

(forgive me posters, as I will inevitably over-look some great avatars)

    1. Virgil

Quite simply a classic. He's been around here so long and posted so often under the guise of that wolf that it is impossible to imagine him without it.

    2. Niamh

Elegant and enigmatic, Niamh surely isn't as shy as her avatar suggests

    3. BibliophileTDJ

Does the beauty (among other things) of this avatar need explanation?

    4. 1n50mn14

    5. Alexander III

    6. Kyriakos

    7. Motherhubbard

    8. Modigliani

    9. symphony

    10. Pensive

    Very-Honorable Mention: billl's (former) avatar:

This would've been my number one. I'm serious. There's something beautiful within that blank space.

Okay, what are your guys 10 ten avatars?

    You spelled 'favourite' incorrectly.

I changed mine back to what it was, of course, after such a great complement--thanks, Daniel! I think a lot of people will think it's going a bit overboard, but I figure you're not being completely serious. I'm just glad to hear that it did in fact get noticed.

Indeed it makes us lit-netters wonder what the real Bibliophile look like

I'm completely serious. It it a beautiful expression of Śūnyatā. (Whether or not it is intended.) Anyway, I'm very happy it's back

I like Alex's Rimbaud image too, but my favourite is of course my own Bowie avatar. I will never be parted from it.

I love lists too -- I'll have to make a more complete post in response to this thread when I have more time.

    I'll be back!

I'm new here, but I like your avatar. It's by Doré, right?

Mine's the best, naturally. It is difficult to give a concrete list because a lot of people are rather fickle and keep changing things, I'll do my best if I've time though to pick out some I like.

I assure you the real me looks NOTHING like that vision of beauty that I hid behind on the web!

Edit: oh, forgot to add Alexander III as a worthy mention:
