    Arthur Conan Doyle

Hey Admin, since you seem to be in chrage around here, can you please tell me why we don't have all the Sherlock Holmes Novels on the site? And why do we only have 12 of the sort stories when there were, in reality, 56 of them?

    All in good time Watson.

In this case his works span the current copyright threshold (like Virginia Woolf, Agatha Christie, F. Scott Fitzgerald). So his earlier works are public domain, later ones are copyrighted.

In that case, how much longer until the Professor Challenger Stories are out of copyright? I can't get the book for a reasonable price becasue it's out of print.

Also I promise to add more of his works in the near future.

If you want to help you can make a list of titles that you'd like to see on here, in order of importance. I'll go down the list and add the ones that are available.

Gladly. Here they are, in order of importance:
Memoirs Of Sherlock Holmes (eleven short stories)
The Return of Sherlock Holmes (thirteen short stories)
    The Valley of Fear
His Last Bow (eight short stories)
The Case Book Of Sherlock Holmes (twelve short stories)

As to the publication dates of the Professor Challenger Stories, I think the lastest version came out in 1963. Also, some other titles by Arthur Conan Doyle include:
    The White Company
    The Firm of Girdlestone
The Captain of the Pole Star
    Beyond the City
    A Duet
    Round the Red Lamp
    The Stark Munro Letters
    The Doings of Raffles Haw
    The Refugees
    Micah Clarke
    Uncle Bernac

I also saw that in the Conan Doyle listings on this site, there was a title by the name The Vital Message. I, personally, have never heard of the Vital Message, and would appreciate a summery.

I added three of his books today. They'll show up on the site within 11 hours (the cache needs to expire and refresh).

    Memoirs of Sherlock
    Return of Sherlock
    and Valley of Fear
