How-d-do, Doc? And a great big ole raucous roar back at’cha. I read that book 10 or 15 years ago on the recommendation of my sister, and I dug it. I tried Angle of Repose, but I was distracted by other things at the time and it never really took in El Sancho’s brain. I need to revisit it. I’ve got a collection of his short stories that has some excellent pieces in it. And his book on writing and teaching is a must-have. Also one of his students, Ed Abbey, is a favorite of mine.

yeah sancho this book was worth a couple of roars...the doc picked up this one and 'angle of repose' at the book sale a couple of years ago and read this one first...thought it to be excellent...since there weren't any comments for all these years, the doc thought he'd just give it a roar and see if that might shake the tree...
haven't got to 'angle of repose' yet...
