    paternal grandparents

    Daada (gandfather) and Daadi (grandmother)

    maternal grandparents

    Naana (grandfather) and Naani (grandmother)

    That's in Hindi.

In my country the words Nona (for a grandmother) and Nono (for a grandfather) are often used (inherited from Italian, of which we've had many immigrants).
