Ok, I am back…I needed my beauty sleep…..now it’s officially my birthday. I want to thank all of you sincerely. I laughed so hard last night and went to bed feeling great and very well loved...love those birthday endorphins! Also, my mother and I went out for dinner with my son, his lovely wife and my beloved granddaughter, Brooke; who was totally adorable. I will post a link later of her dancing and enjoying her first Shamrock shake. I have to start from the beginning here.
downing,, my dearest friend, you know me so well....I think you were my first friend on Litnet....probably you and Virgil. Thank you so much for starting my wonderful birthday thread. Is that cake Romanian? It's looks so delicious...hummm...coconut..yum. I think I will have a piece now. Ken's a riot in HP! I don't own that film, but should get it from the library this week, just to watch his comedic performance. That last photo is stunning! I love purple iris. It looks like they're iris...am I right? Lovely photo. I will copy it and keep for all times. Bring on spring!
Thank you Scher and for putting up with me sending my interview in so late and thank you for your well-wishes.
Thanks neilgee, nice to see you at my party. By the way, I love your avatar.
Papaya….hilarious! I laughed so hard last night
when I saw this. Love the hat….can I get one of these? It will fit my head
! Is that a dress she is wearing? I love polka dots….but most of all her expression is enigmatic.
Where do you find these priceless pooch photos? Those gifts look enticing, too. Thanks so much for being so thoughtful.
Max, my good friend, the hopeless romantic, I love the blue banner! Wow, you did a great job on with the type. The lively strawberries are fun and the cake looks delicious; did you bake it?Ah…candles…I love them…so romantic...candlelight and a single red rose...lovely. Thank you so much for making my birthday such a treat. You are so creative, but most of all you are such a good friend, listening to my many woes from time to time and never saying I bore you.
Virgil, my fine 'old' friend….(NOT referring to your age, of course)…I will always mention you; you also were one of my first friends on this site and no doubt we will always be good friends. We already have a request today to do another Lawrence story - see the SS thread. I laughed my head off seeing that snowblower - it’s a monster one...the cadillacs of snowblowers!….makes my neighbor’s little snowblower look like a toy. You definitely are a lot younger and thinner than that guy.

I love the cat card, especially, the ‘sweet and adorable’ part. Hope you are right and it’s a wonderful year; so far this thread is a good sign. Puss’ bow and glasses are really funny. Ah, now to the YT clips. I loved them all! I did see 2 of them before, but two were new, so I was thrilled to find them and put them in my YT playlist. I came across one I need to share with you. It’s from a documentary I own on L. That cake looks cool…..love the variety of candles. Is that carrot cake? Ummm….I had one candle last night on my cheesecake.
Daniel, how did you know? Yes indeed, give me Ken anytime as the brooding, moody Hamlet. I didn’t realise I was actually your first friend on Litnet....that's cool to know. I feel badly now that I didn’t list you by name…but I did add 'there were many more friends I would like to meet'. You are one of them; since I know we could discuss movies/directors endlessly.
Bienvenu, thanks for coming to my birthday and the well wishes and the great photo of my author. One can see the keen intelligence in his eyes. I love it! Enjoy the party!
billl, is that me skydiving? I laughed so hard…..you made good use of the new emoticons….terrific and so clever…thanks…it’s very funny! By the way, 'skydiving' would be the last thing on earth I would ever be caught doing. Hahha...better the emoticons play out my fantasy or I would end up like this guy
.
Haunted, my dearest sweet and creative friend….you did a great job!!!….I laughed my head off.
I would welcome Ken Hamlet being so close anyday. Not me dearest, he's putting a smile on my face, too...I wonder what he’s doing with his hands(?) to bring on such a smile from my lips and that twinkle in my eyes…..only we will know…..hahah…..It’s a winner once again!
The perfect gift to feed my Ken fantasy! Thank you with all my heart. I will keep it forever!
Gilliatt, you’re another one I thought of, when I wrote ‘many more friends’…after all, we share that artist thing and love of old paper memorbilia. I love that old sheet music! I even love movies with Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland….but I have not seen this one; I will put it on my list. I own another with Rooney that introduced Judy to the screen. It’s corny, but fun. Music by Gershwin is fabulous! Love the man’s works. Wasn’t it you encouraged me, a long time back, to aquire an old book from my library? I did buy it; it’s from the 1800’s…cool huh? I will have to photograph it to show you.
symphony, just attending my party and your well-wishes is good enough gift for me and means the world, good friend. I would love to meet you someday, too.
Soundofmusic, I see you made use of the new party guys…I love them! Thanks for the birthday wishes and attending this fun party.
Lulim, thank you and I love that purple field…it’s amazing…do you know what flower it is? I wish I was there right now...it's looks to be warm. Thanks for being so thoughtful.
Toni, my beautiful, sweet, thoughtful friend, thank you for the cool Ken photo (he is divine - did you see any movies yet?) and the beautiful strawberry cheescake (humm…love cheescake!) and the Lawrence letters are marvelous….the man never stopped writing! I copied the adorable Nemo to send to Brooke. She will love it, since it sparkles! It’s precious.
Jozanny, nice to see you at my party. I love Susan Boyle - how did you know? A CD will be terrific. I actually got a few itunes gift cards from my son and his wife and will be getting some new music real soon for my new ipod nano. I can’t wait to pick them out. My motto...one can never have enough music! Thanks so much! Enjoy the party!
Claes, good to see you here. Yes I have missed our little chats, too; but I realized you were probably super busy with work. I might have a few tech questions for you soon, if you don’t mind. I like those party emoticons…they look so happy and carefree! Thanks! Enjoy the cake!
Mary, thank you for coming to my party…it’s fun so far, isn’t it? 'Mwah to you,' also…..by the way, what does 'Mwah mean? ….I’m a little daft sometimes. Thanks for your birthday wishes!
mona amon, glad to see you here, too. Thanks for the flashing “Happy Birthdays!” They are so pretty. Enjoy the party!
Fifth, another good dear friend. One reaction for the three gorgeous men….ou..la...la...darling! I just saw Purefoy in a “Mayor of Casterbridge“. The man is lovely, especially his Scottish accent in that film; love when he blew the wheat dust off of Elizabeth Jane‘s dress…he can do that to me anyday!

- in response to your photo. Is he really Scottish? Cool Ken photo, too…he looks intelligent and strong in that one, which he is. He still has what it takes; a very sexy man! Hummm….Hugh Laurie is delicious. I have liked him for a long time. He’s been in Ken films. He even dated Emma Thompson before Ken married her. I would say they had something in common, even though the marriage fell through. I would still like to have been Emma just the same...now she has another hunky husband. I guess she knew how to pick them.
Sapphire, lovely sparkling birthday wish…so pretty and MY colors! Thank you so much. And yes, I will work on getting a new story posted soon (I have now read them all!)…I am feeling ready for a little L discussing again; I have been in L withdrawal and I refuse to go to rehab. Happy to see you on the L thread and at my cool party.
manolia, you were one of my first friends, too! We are veterans here. I miss our little chats. I hope all is well with you. Thanks for your lovely wishes and attending my party…once again, those busy little emoticons are dancing their hearts out….they are so cute. They sure like to party hardy! Reminds me of my grand-daughter dancing in her jammies……here’s the link and the clip:

Enjoy!
And here is another of her trying her first milkshake....a Shamrock shake...I guess she is half Irish! http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p...t=MVI_7370.flv

Hey JanineJames Purefoy isn't Scottish, he's from Somerset which is in the south of England. I've never seen The Mayor of Casterbridge, I'll have to check that one out. I saw a whole lot of him in Rome though, a whole lot. If you know what I mean?

I did recall that you told me he was not Scottish before. He sure pulls off the accent perfectly in the A&E production. I love that film. Ciaran Hinds stars in it as well; and he's superb. Well, it seems I have to get my library to order me a copy of "Rome" if you say you see a lot of Purefoy in it...and I get your drift completely...sounds good to me! ou la la....
