I've only just stumbled upon the forum. I don't know why it hadn't dawned on me earlier that there could be a literature forum. Anyway, I just wanted to leave a greeting. I'm seventeen and will be graduating high school in a few months and I plan to major in English after I complete my college core classes. I have to admit I am a particularly choosy reader and stay far away from nearly all escape literature. Hardly is there a book in front of me that could be considered one of the greatest works, but that is not to say that I pretend I can comprehend and absorb all of Shakespeare's works immediately nor will I carry around a copy of War and Peace for the sake of fulfilling the aesthetic role as "the English major kid". The most recent book I've read was The Road and I am truly having to hold in screams of praise for McCarthy. I would greatly appreciate private messages or any other emails for some conversation of this book.
You all have a good day and I look forward to sharing thoughts with you soon.
