I'm not sure what Sanskrit has to do with English language?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanskrit
    and Google can always help.

I had a friend who studied a bit of Sanskrit, he was interested in it because he is a Buddhist.

Thank you for the help, but also i`ve searched the net, nothing useful!

note;there is a kinship b\w the english language and the sanskrit one,all of them belong to the same family, the Indo European Family !

I HATE THE HISTORY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ..
    I CANT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING..ANYTHING
IT DEPENDS ONLY ON MEMORIZING,WHO COME WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING!!
AND ALSO NO ONE CAN HELP ME IN THIS.

They belong to the same linguistic group but those two languages are like 15thousand years removed, the Indo-European group contains every language in Europe and most of Russia.

I'd think it would be much more informative to look at English's relationship with Germanic and Romanesque languages...

Sure, but as it was noted, there's a relation between Sanskrit and any other European language, not English in particular... It's like starting the history of humans from the first forms of life in the sea.

And why is the summary on Wikipedia not good enough? Too technical?
