    Thanks, Robert Browning

The sun is given a little time
    to shine through snowfall.

I turn my back to it,
hoping to see a snowflake rainbow.

There is no rainbow, and now
    the falcon I was watching

    has flown away.
I have no idea where it has gone.

My reach exceeded my grasp, and now
    all that's left to see

    is the white pasture,
and the white fence around it.

Hmmm, very mysterious and elusive. Has an almost Eastern feel to how connected it is in its superficial disconnectedness. I'm not real sold on the "I have no idea where it has gone" and "My reach exceeded my grasp, and now" lines; I would at least remove the "and now". I'd say the less you obviously connect these lines the better because it already has a very cohesive aesthetic.

Oh! This is beauty! I recognize some of your allusions to Browning. Well done!
