dying

dying to get there
dying to leave
dying to have that
dying to see her
dying to see him
I d die for you
just thought id die
id just die if it happed to me
dying is what we all do
a little each day sometimes quick
sometimes slow
most of the time
we don't know when were
going to go
what do you do
when somebody tells
you your going to die
one year two year
maybe ten years to go
no where to run no where to hide
do you fight do you give up
do you cry
do you scream out why
do you live for the moment
do you ignore it could you if you tried
ten times a day repeated in your head
unbidden it comes soon you will be dead
make the best of it
try and do all that you can
surround your self with friends
you want to be with your true love
in the end
desperately you try to fined
some peace of mind
some happiness to hide the fear
sometime its hard
to look in there eyes
and lie when asked what did the Dr say
iam ok
spare them the truth
because all that you do all that you say
is tainted by what lives in your head
time laughs at you from the grave
no matter what you say
no matter what you tell them
you live with that fear
every single day
dying to get there
dying to leave
dying to have that
dying to see her
dying to see him
I d die for you
just thought id die
just dying
to live

dark

half life

living life through the fog of a half life

vague shapes muted sound visions of

day to day life

a love I long for to make my life whole

instead this half life neither here nor there

somewhere in between lies the love we share

like some lonely specter I reach out for the shining light that is you

but like a will o wisp your not there

try as I will I cant break through this dark cloud this half life spell

it clings and sticks to my soul like some spiders deadly web

struggling I fight with such might

gradually I weaken in half life's grip

I fall to my knees struggling to breath

your image before me across time and space

to little time to great a space

I search my soul for the key that will unlock the door

cutting ever deeper shall i cut away a little more

if I close my eyes and lay very still

I can almost hear your voice whispered in the darkness

and the faintest scent of perfumed hair delicately wafting on the air

a touch so gentle so hot on my skin

then I awake and try to hold on to the dream for a few seconds more

but the half life I live glazes my eyes over once more

faint echo's of I love you catch me holding my breath

trying to remember your touch

the smile on your face

trying to believe

that our love is true

so hard to see

so hard to be in half life

hell living with out you

Dragon Slayer

How does one go about slaying a Dragon ?
A beast so ferocious so powerfull
and clever dimond hard scales over muscles rippling with strength
lightning speed flaming hot breath
magical is the beast
what instrument of destruction brings down such
a creature as this
a sword thrust through the heart
a bolt from the bow causing sinew to fail
catapult shot crushing bones ending flight
nay none of these you would find your self at the end of your days
its a much simpler thing this beast to slay a secret i will share this day
to kill a dragon to slay the beast
you need only to cease and desist
cease to believe in him
cease to see his magic of flight
close your eyes simply wish him away
turn your back let your mind grow old
and you shall end his days
burn out his flame end his flight
send him to his grave hardly with out a fight
but remember this before you turn your back
for every dragon you slay a 1000 more are born to
the youth of the new day
so go ahead turn away slay your dragon
and cease to believe
and find yourself growing older with out dragons
to give magic to your days

Dragons Flame

Screaming, kicking, shoved in to the world,
a child begins the race.
Dodging, twisting, avoiding, instinctively running,
as the child grows the race is slow.
Hardly noticed, through springs childhood
filled with endless summers of time unending,
but a sense of foreboding
as the dragon's flame grows.
You hurry into adulthood in a flurry to grow, your heels warm
as the dragon's flame grows.
Familles begin, family goes, friends pass,
as the dragon's flame grows.
The future is now, where did the past go?
Echoes of childhood dreams curled huddled in your brain,
as the dragon's flame grows.
Looking ahead, desiring to go back,
pushed headlong into the fray, you begin to wonder why,
as the dragon's flame grows.
Where does the time go?
Unending pressure, work
harder to gain, only to find
you have slipped behind.
Again summer has waned into fall's early snow,
and you feel the heat,
as the dragon's flame grows.
Looking behind now, not for the past,
but in fear at what tracks you,
gaining ground fast, you hurry onward,
as the dragon's flame grows.
Now praying to never finish the race,
winter has caught you
and sealed your fate.
Your time is now, no time, no place left to hide
you turn and
look into the jaws of the beast
and feel yourself falling into the abyss.
your fear is complete
as the dragon's flame grows.
In shock, you awake, no pain, no heat.
you stand before the mighty beast.
Seeing your self mirrored in his eyes,
your judgment complete, He speaks, "Return to the world man child,
Your journey is not yet complete, until you
pass through life without fear of my heat.
Then again, we shall meet
as the dragon's flame grows."
