Well, they really were good friends, but... D Lewis would never copy Tolkien, because of the same reson. Anyway, they are really different styles. I have red both and they have poor alikes.

That to me is SOOOOO ridiculous (I would never suspect either of them to be - they were very romantic with their wives) and Lewis was a christian. The people who say that are probably the same HORRIBLE people (the majority of tolkien fans - AAAAAAHHHH) who say SAm and Frodo are - by which they SPOIL something so beautiful as Sam and Frodo's relationship.
BTW: NArnia is NOT a trilogy - there are Seven books in all
