    Tracking down a poem

When I was younger, my father had one of his poems published in one of those collective poetry books, it's a canadian book, and I'm not at all sure what it's called.

The name of the author of this poem is Robert Burke.
I've been looking to find this book with his poem in it, or a copy of his poem for quite some time.

I have his old poetry binder, but the one that he had published is no longer in there, so I'm hoping someone on this site might have some idea.

I have searche daround the internet and my local library and book stores, but I can't find anything, and no one seems to know what I'm talking about without a book title.

If anyone reading this can offer any help, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you kindly.

Do you remember any lines from the poem? It would help a lot.

Scherezade asked a good question: do you remember anything particular about the poem? Lines? Quotes? Subject?
After doing some research, I found some material by a Robert Burke Warren and a Robert Burke Richardson, but no Robert Burke.
Do these other names, perhaps, sound familiar?
If not, I will continue more research, and try to find it.

all I can remember is that there was something about "my grandfathers clock" or "my grandfatherclock" something with "grandfather" and "clock" in the title... other than that I'm completely lost.

I read it when I was young, maybe seven years old, so I don't remember much of anything.

none of those names are the right ones, it should just read Robert Burke, nothing more... possibly with a middle initial, H. but it's likely just the first and last.

I appreciate that you're doing your best to find it, thank you kindly. =)

I apologize, GruesomeBugman. I have searched and searched diligently throughout the Internet and local libraries, that include many Canadian poetry anthologies, but to no avail.
I have memorized the name, and the subject of the poem by now, however, and will report if I happened to find anything. Again, I apologize, and wish you good luck in tracking the poem.

    Grandfather's Clock

Would it happen to be anything like this?

    Lyrics to Grandfather's Clock
    by Henry Clay Work
    clock grandfather lyric

"My grandfather's clock was too tall for the shelf
So it stood ninety years on the floor
It was taller by half than the old man himself
But it weighed not a pennyweight more

thank you for trying as well, PeterL but that's not it... that's not even by a Robert Burke.
