It is so much fun to see everyone's favorite albums. There is such diversity and yet some similarity as well.

    Here are some for me:

Kate Bush, The Hounds of Love
Youssou N'Dour, Joko From Village to Town
    Suzanne Vega, Solitude Standing
    Nirvana, Nevermind
Rasputina, How We Quit the Forest
    Tori Amos, Little Earthquakes
    Liz Phair, Whitechocolatespaceegg
Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shooting Straight in the Dark
    Billy Joel, Storm Front
Loreena McKennitt, The Book of Secrets

The order on the list is sort-of how often I listen to the albums lately. Because that was the order they came to mind. The ones lower down on the list, I don't listen to as often (especially the last 4), but I still think of the albums as being particularly well-crafted, so that I enjoy nearly all the songs on the album, while the album itself has a clear logic to it that contributes further to the enjoyment of the songs.

I wasn't expecting the Mars Volta to be mentioned once, let alone twice.

Off the top of my head:

The Mars Volta: Frances the Mute, De-Loused in the Comatorium, Bedlam in Goliath, Amputechture, Tremulant, Scabdates and Octahedron
At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command and Vaya
    The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's
John Coltrane - A Love Supreme
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue, *****es Brew and On the Corner
    Bjork - Homogenic
Blonde Redhead - Misery Is a Butterfly
    Dredg - El Cielo
The Deftones - Adrenaline and White Pony
    Pink Floyd - Animals

I've been listening to Gulag Orkestar by Beirut and it may eventually find its way up there.
