    Talking Anti-poetry Poetry

    http://goodnotgood.blogspot.com/2009...ry-poetry.html

I got tired of the poems I was reading in English class. As I say at the end of my entry, there is probably poetry that I would enjoy very much, just not the kind I learn about in English class. So what did I do? Fight fire with fire! I enjoyed writing these, and I would appreciate feedback. Thanks!

I agree with you so much. Most poetry I have read in class doesn't interset me at all. And I must say, I loved the 2nd poem!

Hey, if the poetry offered in the classroom is not to your liking, perhaps you should try looking at the works of others, especially those who seem accessible (I say "seem" because the best ones have multiple layers of meaning.)
Try reading: Kenneth Koch, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Sharon Olds
    for starters.

This was much better than your essay. I actually thought the poems were funny.
